Aya Kawakami- Kana (Snow Angel)

Aya Kawakami started her acting career at the age of 9 when she was cast in the Sound of Music, during a nationwide open cast call in Singapore. She graduated from Cornell University with a degree in music. Her most memorable theatre credits include playing Maria (West Side Story, Asian American Playhouse), Eva Peron (Evita, Gateway Theater), Beggar Woman ( Sweeney Todd, Gateway Theater), as well as musically directing Once Upon a Mattress ( Brand X Theater). She has also spent many years working as a musical director and arranger for the ensembles AG and Active Singing. She has been an active member of the Nagoya theatre scene, being in such productions as Dreamcatcher (Nuk'pana/vocal coach/assistant director, KPB Theatre), Churchill in Love ( Maria Callas, KPB Theatre), Much Ado about Nothing (featured singer, Nameless Theater), Nagasaki Dust (Kimiko, KAN劇Theater), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Puck, Nameless Theater). She is the vocalist for the band Champagne Soaked Cookies and the duo subset, Bite-sized Cookies, and can be seen locally singing at various locations in Nagoya.

アヤ　カワカミは、彼女が9歳の時、シンガポール全土から公募したサウンドオブミュージックに役を得て以来、役者としてのキャリアをスタートした。コーネル大学では音楽を専攻し学位を修了。記憶に残る配役として挙げるのは、「ウェストサイドストーリー／Asian American Playhouse」で演じたMaria役、「エヴィータ／Gateway Theater」で」演じたエヴァ　ペロン役、「スウィーニートッド／Gateway Theater」で演じたBeggar Woman役などがあり、また「Once upon a Mattress／Brand X Theater」の音楽指導担当も印象深い。長年音楽演出家としても活躍し、AGや歌唱指導も手がける。

彼女は、名古屋の演劇界でも精力的に活動しており「Dreamcatcher／KPB　Theatre」では、Nuk’panaを演じ、他にも歌唱指導、アシスタントディレクターを務め、「Churchill in Love／KPB Theatre」ではマリア　カラス役を、「から騒ぎ／Nameless Theatre」ではシンガーとして、「長崎ダスト／KAN劇シアター」ではキミコ役として、「真夏の夜の夢／Nameless Theatre」ではパック役としてそれぞれを好演した。

また、彼女はバンド「Champagne Soaked Cookies」及びデュオである「 Bite-sized Cookies」でボーカルを担当し、名古屋の各地で演奏活動を行っている。
